Services
Four engagement lines, all hourly, all senior engineers.
Every engagement is staffed by senior US engineers and billed hourly, as a project or as staff augmentation. Scope, staffing, and timeline are agreed in an initial conversation — no packages, no surprises.
Cluster & cost review
A structured audit of an existing Elasticsearch or OpenSearch estate: shard strategy, index lifecycle management and data tiers, ingest pipeline efficiency, and license/deployment options. You get a prioritized findings report where every recommendation names the setting, policy, or architectural change that implements it — and what it should save.
Search implementation
Product and site search built end to end: mappings and analyzers that fit the data, query design in the DSL, relevance tuning against a judgment list you can rerun, and hybrid or vector search where it measurably helps.
Observability pipelines
Ingestion architecture for logs, metrics, and traces — Elastic Agent and Fleet, Logstash, or an OpenTelemetry Collector — plus Kibana dashboards, alerting design, and retention policies that match what each data stream is actually worth.
Migrations & upgrades
Major-version upgrades, Elasticsearch-to-OpenSearch moves in either direction, self-managed-to-cloud transitions, and reindex-based mapping overhauls — each run as a rehearsed, reversible cutover, not a leap.
Not sure which line fits? Describe the problem and we'll tell you honestly, including when the answer is "you don't need a consultant for this."
